Monday mornings are usually meet with gripes, complaints, and down right mourning the dreaded end of the weekend. With #MotivatedMonday, I wanted to send out positive energy and motivational quotes that will uplift, amuse, and inspire.

5 Quotes To Start Your Week Right With #MotivatedMonday

I believe the beginning of the week should be met with energy, determination, and confidence. Here are five quotes from this weeks #MotivatedMonday, that are sure to help you start your week right.

1.) ALWAYS SMILE

It is a scientific fact that when you smile at someone their instinctive reaction is to smile back. Smiling can benefit your physical health, as well as emotional health. Physically smiling can relax your body, and lower your heart rate, as well as your blood pressure. Emotionally smiling releases neural signals in your brain that fight depression, and stress. As a bonus, studies show that others find you more attractive when you smile, and, as a result, treat you better. So as it turns out smiling is all around better for you. So smile Love!

2.) DO SOMETHING EVERYDAY THAT BRINGS YOU CLOSER TO YOUR GOALS.

I find it helpful to start each month/ week/ day with a set of goals. Each goal may lead up to an ultimate goal, or they could be a set of small individual goal. Either way, I find that I am more productive, satisfied, and overall happy if I have set out an intention for what I do on a daily basis. Know that you may not reach every goal or intention when you want to, but doing something every day that brings you closer to your goals is sure to get you closer than you think to reach them.

3.) TRAIN YOU MIND TO SEE THE POSITIVE IN EVERYTHING

This tip can get a little bit tricky. My peers know me as optimistic. It was my nickname as a cheerleader in college. However, even the cheeriest of cheerleaders can find themselves in a funk. It could be school issues, family issue, relationship issue, financial issue, job issues. Sometimes it can feel like each issue hit you at once, or one after the other. Stress can turn you into a not so fun person to be around. I have caught myself slowly slipping into my Eeyore attItude with my dark cloud hovering over me, following me as I mope through the day. I can happen to the best of us, and the only way to part those dark clouds is to see the silver lining. Fight that negativity with positivity. Focusing on what you are grateful for is a great start.

4.) WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG IN YOUR LIFE, JUST YELL “PLOT TWIST” AND MOVE ON.

I truly get a kick out of this quote. I understand that realistically as a mature adult, this may not be the answer to every issue one may find themselves up against. However, it sure cures the small issues that we shouldn’t dwell upon. I have been through issues that made me feel like it was the end of my world. And low and behold, I’m still here. If I would have known then what I know now, I surely would have yelled “PLOT TWIST” and moved right along.

5.) HAVING A ROUGH DAY? PLACE YOUR HAND OVER YOUR HEART. FEEL THAT? THAT’S CALLED PURPOSE. YOU’RE ALIVE FOR A REASON. DON’T GIVE UP!

This quote may be lengthy, but what it lacks in brevity, it makes up for with validity. I am a strong believer that every human being has a spiritual assignment here on earth. I am not sure that I completely understand my assignment, but I do know that If I am still here then I have not completed it yet. The present is a gift. I pray every day that I am productive in fulfilling my spiritual assignment, and not otherwise unappreciative of being blessed to be in the present. If you are blessed to be here in the present, Don’t give up Love, you have a purpose.
